About Me
Hi, I’m Violet and I’m a design researcher and UX strategist based in Toronto, Canada.
Whether facilitating a discovery session, synthesizing research findings, or stage managing a UX conference, I thrive in situations where harmony, delight and flow are used to measure success. I see this realized in my work as a UX (now Service Design) professional, part-time event producer and DJ.
About 10 years ago, I discovered the human-centred design process and never looked back. I’m known for being a devoted champion of “the user experience”. Since then, I have used a healthy mix of experience design, visual thinking and design research skills to co-create human-friendly experiences for millions of people. Along the way, I’ve applied my passions for design facilitation and knowledge-sharing to help organizations cultivate a robust and inclusive human-centred design practice. I am especially inspired by projects which propel storytellers, social good and win-win scenarios.
I’m my spare time, you might find me shaping clay, teaching my cat Zoot tricks, mentoring up and coming talent or listening to music that moves me. I also enjoy helping people connect, learn new skills and enjoy life.
To learn more about my professional experience, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn. If you’d like to collaborate please get in touch!
